Elections for the National Council of University Students (CNSU) – 14 and 15 May 2025

The Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR), through Ordinance No. 42 of 30 January 2025, has announced that the elections for the renewal of the various components of the National Council of University Students (CNSU 2025 Elections) will be held on 14 and 15 May 2025.
The following members are to be elected:

• 28 members elected among students enrolled in the academic year 2024–2025 in bachelor’s degree programmes, master’s degree programmes, single-cycle master’s degree programmes, or degree programmes under previous regulations, in accordance with current legislation;
• 1 member elected among students enrolled in specialization courses (old and new systems), pursuant to Article 4, paragraph 1, of Law No. 341 of 19 November 1990 and Article 3 of Ministerial Decree of 22 October 2004, No. 270;
• 1 member elected among students enrolled in PhD programmes (old and new systems), pursuant to Article 4 of Law No. 210 of 3 July 1998 and Ministerial Decree of 14 December 2021, No. 226.

For the purposes of determining active and passive electorate, separate lists of students enrolled in the courses referred to in Article 1, paragraph 1, letters a), b), and c) of the Ministerial Ordinance have been prepared.
Students concerned may submit an appeal to the Rector within 10 days from the publication of the lists (12 March 2025). The Rector will issue a final decision within the following 15 days.
