Internships
The Faculty of Cultural Heritage offers an internship programme designed to support students in building a solid professional profile that can be immediately applied in the field of Cultural Heritage. Within this framework, the Faculty strongly promotes external curricular internships , encouraging training pathways carried out at organisations, cultural institutions, and operational entities active across the national territory. External experiences represent a privileged opportunity to integrate theoretical preparation with direct observation and professional practice, enabling students to engage with procedures, methodologies, and tools typical of real working environments, within dynamic and multidisciplinary contexts.
Alongside these activities, the Faculty also offers faculty-based curricular internships, designed and coordinated internally by academic staff.
In the study plan of both Degree Programmes, a maximum of 6 ECTS credits is allocated to internship activities.
Internships therefore allow students to earn up to a maximum of 6 ECTS credits. Each ECTS corresponds to 25 hours of activity, meaning that the total number of hours required to complete the internship amounts to 150 hours. If the student has already completed recognised previous activities (such as professional experience, certified collaborations, or prior internships), they will be required to complete only the number of hours equivalent to the missing ECTS credits.
All documentation certifying the regular and successful completion of the internship, including activities carried out at authorised external institutions, must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Presidency preferably well in advance and, in any case, strictly by the deadline set for uploading the approved thesis on the platform. It is the exclusive responsibility of the student to ensure that all required documentation is produced and submitted on time.
All Internship activities are reserved for:
- students enrolled in the third year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage;
- students enrolled in the first or second year of the Master’s Degree in Digital Cultural Heritage;
- students enrolled in the Master’s Programme in Management and Conservation of Cultural Heritage in the Digital Age.
Please be advised that all communications regarding the acceptance of internship applications will be provided exclusively by the Secretariat of the Presidency within 30 days of the closing of the relevant call. Interested parties are therefore invited to monitor their institutional mailbox for any updates.
For further information regarding internship activities, please contact the Internship Coordinator (Prof. Dr. Riccardo Montalbano).
