How to connect the University to the actual needs of our globalized and interconnected society and to the demands of the students’ new generations? This issues will be discussed during the Conference on "The University of the XXI Century between Tradition and Innovation – The Digital University, is the Future here?”, organized by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO in the framework of the Young International Forum, a three-day event devoted to the issue of internationalization, education and orienting held in Rome every year.

The Rector of UNINETTUNO, Maria Amata Garito – interviewed by the Director of the “Corriere dell’Università”, Mariano Berriola – explaines to the many youths attending the meeting the reason why today the online university represents the new frontier of higher education.

Many are the issues being treated:  presentation of innovative degree courses in line with the demands of the global labor market, the importance of re-establishing the role of the universities, as true tools for peace and for the respect of differences, melting-pots of international identities and originators of the most creative chapters of history; presentation of the "University for Refugees" portal, aimed integrating immigrants, refugees and asylum-seekers thanks to the access to education.
