Course description

Financial mathematics deals with the study of financial transactions, ie the methods through which money is exchanged over time.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the basic mathematical rules is essential to face the exam. It is however advisable to have passed the general mathematics exam.

Objectives

Introduce frequently used mathematical techniques into economic theory so you can understand the relevant literature. Furthermore, the aim of the course is to introduce the fundamental concepts of financial mathematics and provide students with the tools necessary to solve real financial problems.
