Course description
This course provides a comprehensive insight of essential new technologies and information systems. Information Systems are one of the major tools business managers can use to achieve their business goals. Students will understand the impact of new technologies on business models and managerial decision-making. The course addresses many aspects, which need to be considered in order to gain a broad understanding about digital technologies for businesses.
Prerequisites
Students should have a basic understanding in the field of Information Technology. Prior knowledge in business topics is recommended in order to understand the big picture.
Objectives
• What is an information system? • What are digital technologies? • Why are digital technologies so important nowadays and in the future? • Which aspects need to be considered for a company to be successful in the digital age?
