Περιγραφή μαθήματος

The module is designed as an opportunity for students to take a practical approach to the strategies which luxury fashion branding employs. Learners have the opportunity to place themselves within the industry to complete this module, or to launch their own business, which will be supported by their business plan submission. This will be discussed with module tutors, on which pathway is to be taken.

 

Industry Placement Pathway:

Learners are responsible for researching and securing their own placement with support, guidance and final approval by their address supervisor. The student must  ensure that both the learning outcomes of the professional practice module and the analysis required within the reflective report (summative assignment ) can be achieved within the placement secured.

The objective of the module is to link theoretical aspects to practice in context, and to provide the opportunity for students to demonstrate their critical understanding and constructive reflection of the key influences on Fashion Luxury Brand Management, as covered by the course. Students will be able to engage with employability issues in a practical manner.

 

Business Launch Pathway:

Using the business model submitted in Module ‘Entrepreneurship’, learners will launch their business idea within the market, and to document all processes its journey and growth.

Learners must include an element of ‘pitching’ to clients, and document the growth and pitfalls encountered when launching a new business idea.

Learners need to include an element of presenting their concept and business plan to potential clients. This would be facilitated through a pitch process for example for investment which would be presented to a panel of potential clients.  The ‘pitch’ should outline the challenges, risks and potential rewards of the business model, and reflect on possible risk factors. The pitch would be followed by a Q & A session from the panel.

  • Test the level of employability skills 

  • Evaluate professional presentation 

  • Review the brand management portfolio
