This module is addressing the issue of business sustainability and the ways it can be applied to fashion in general and fashion brand management in particular.

 

Students will be studying the scope of ethics and sustainability in the fashion and retail industry.

They are expected to critically reviewing the process of creating leading and marketing an ethically sustainable brand within the luxury market sector.

 

Reflecting on process of conception to materialisation and studying how sustainability has been maintained through branding as well as marketing with an aim to support social communities.

Student will learn what makes sustainable fashion branding successful

Στόχοι

The aims of this module are to encourage students to:

  • Understand and critically analyse the context of sustainability and its application to the fashion industry.
  • Apply a critical perspective to sustainable practices within fashion business with a particular focus on supply chain. Evaluate how these practices address the social, economic and environmental impact of fashion in addition to translating sustainability into a commercial advantage.  The module aims to provide a critical assessment of the global consumer and their relationship with ethical and sustainable practices. The barriers of integrating sustainability into businesses and its negative associations for brands will also be examined.
  • Industry practices from conception to materialisation will be evaluated together with emergent solutions for a sustainable future.

  • Sustainable supply chain within business focus
  • Meeting customer satisfaction by reflecting on customers feedback
