Introduction
UNINETTUNO is the project coordinator and responsible for:
- Activity 2.2 (Development of educational content),
- Activity 2.4 (Pilot evaluation and finalization of the Training Kit)
Summary
GIF aims to develop, test and validate a Competence Framework (CF) covering all the competence areas identified by the EU Green Deal, involving academic experts, vocational trainers, and SME managers, and to produce guides and materials enabling the implementation of educational, training, assessment or citizen engagement activities.
Description
The European Green Deal is an ambitious plan that will affect citizens and organizations across the EU in the coming years. For it to succeed, active involvement of citizens and key stakeholders is necessary, with the goal of increasing knowledge, awareness, and competencies in the main areas of interest of the Green Deal – ranging from climate, food, pollution, mobility, and buildings, to ecosystems.
The main objective of the GIF project is to improve the environmental footprint of SMEs in the fashion/textile sector, which is highly relevant in the participating countries.
GIF aims to develop, test, and validate a Competence Framework (CF) that covers all the competence areas foreseen by the EU Green Deal, involving both academic experts, vocational trainers, and SME managers, and to produce guides and materials that allow for the implementation of educational, training, assessment, or citizen engagement activities.
Objectives
The specific objectives of the project are:
Project Result PR1 – Development of the GIF Competence Framework, which adopts a fully participatory multi-stakeholder approach, and aims to provide a comprehensive and “testable” competence framework based on input from the identified target group (fashion SME experts, managers, leaders). This framework will form the basis for the training kit that will be piloted in the second phase of the project.
Project Result PR2 – GIF Training Kit, which involves the development of a training program that enables trainers, industries, and training institutions to easily design courses and programs using the support tools specifically produced by the project. In particular, GIF foresees the co-design and development of:
- training programs, co-designed with educators and trainers from different educational levels;
- educational content, delivered together with digital and accessible training programs, reusable by other educators and institutions;
- a user guide, providing practical support for implementation;
- use cases, reporting the experiences of the various pilot projects implemented.
