The course explains the disciplinary role of librarianship within the sciences documentary, the concept and function of the library and the profession of librarian as a mediator of information. The course focuses on the principles that underlie the preparation of international standards and national cataloging rules. Examine the cataloging rules for the description and indexing by author, subject and class. ISBD, Italian cataloging rules for author (RICA), Soggettario of the National Central Library of Florence, Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), Edition 21.
