Course description

The course is aimed at delivering the notions and at teaching how to use of the tools of the journalist and communicator profession in a multi-platform media context.

Prerequisites

No specific knowledge is required to follow this course. Motivation and interest in journalism and communication are essential.

Objectives

The course is aimed to analyze general theoretical principles concerning the structure of journalistic language and intends to address the main issues related to the writing, construction and production of a journalistic product. Different formats of storytelling will be considered, with the aim of outlining what methods and strategies characterize the creation of an effective cross-media journalistic product.

Program

The course is structured in a series of videolessons dealing with the changes experienced in recent years by the television medium and in particular, how TV enjoyment has changed with the digital. The course will address the main theoretical and technical issues regarding the organization of a news and all-news channel and the strategies that a journalist or communications professional must put in place to adapt each piece of content to the medium (social media, podcasts and radio, video)
