Bachelor Degree - Mechatronics and metallurgical VET for the sectors’industries - MEMEVET

CFU: 10
Lingua: Italiano
Descrizione dell'insegnamento
The course must be able to describe the generic structure and functions of an industrial robot. Interpret a typical program used to control a modern industrial robot and describe common communication themes. Show knowledge and then describe the generic structure and functions of an industrial robot. Be able to identify the varied data types used and give examples of system parameters and configurations. Moreover it must create documents to outline how the programmes were created.
Further purpose of the course is to provide to the students knowledge about the basic principles of selection, design and application of devices for automation in mechanical engineering. The students will gain the knowledge about the main principles of flexible automation and developing NC programs.

Provide students with the basics, methodologies and techniques for select, design and applicate devices for automation in mechanical engineering and give examples of system parameters and configurations.

This course, which provides 6+4 credits and consists of 42 lessons.
The course structure consists of 2 macro subjects: 1. Industrial Robots Programming. 2. Automation in Mechanical Engineering.

In the first macro area the lessons developes: Robot units: motors, bearings, linear actuators, gearboxes, single and double acting cylinders, pilot operated valves, directional control valves, proportional valves and control systems, quick release and push fit couplings, position sensors and electrically operated circuits. Circuit diagrams and symbols. Failure modes of fluid power systems. Used in robot programming Regulations, ISO standards, and safety. Provision of services Lock-out/safe- isolation procedures and handing over back to production.

In the second macro area the lessons developes: Basics of mechanical engineering automation. Modern trends in mechanical engineering automation. Automation of discrete production engineering (ADP). Types of automation devices. Sensors and indicators for automation devices. Decision variants and choosing the optimum one. Parts flow automation and automatic devices. Automation technological lines. Robotic complexes. Flexible automation. Flexible manufacturing structures. Principles of NC. NC machines. Technology for NC machines Programming for NC machines. Terminology and based commands; Manual programming. Dialog, computer and parametric programming.

Design mechanical device projects; make mechanical design calculations; equipment and system calculations; programming of industrial robot in a safe manner; create robot programs to show how they perform tasks.
