The emergence of Green Building is a response to the philosophy of sustainable development. It has been and will be an inevitable trend for building industry. This course is aimed at the sustainable development of green building with the background of the construction industry. It is a comprehensive training course of green building which systematically introduces the basic concept and connotation of green building, history and the present situation of green building both in China and throughout the world, evaluation methods of green building, design patterns and methods of green building, case analysis of green building, key technology of green building and post evaluation of green building in China, etc.

Scopi

Through the study of this course, the students will have a basic, clear understanding of green building and relationship between green building and corresponding technologies, which means green building is the optimal integration with the appropriate climate and resources in particular region, rather than the so-called high-tech, expensive technology packing products; establish the concept of sustainable development of green building, realize the scientific nature and necessity of adhering to the green building development path suitable for Chinese national conditions,  cultivate their learning motivation and ability of analyze problems, and learn its arising, development history, evaluation systems, design methods and key technologies within the area of Green Building.

 
Contenuti

The course content mainly covers six themes as follows: 1. Introduction to Green Building definitions, and its history and development 2. Evaluation of Green Building 3. Key technology and Design of Green Building 4. Post occupancy evaluation of Chinese Green Building 5. Fundamental of Building thermal engineering 6. Building energy efficiency.

Esercitazioni

There are several exercise questions at the end of each lesson. These exercise questions are important to learn, apply and extend the knowledge of Green Building. Please answer them after watching a video lesson, and return your answer work of electronic version in one week. While solving questions, students are encouraged to obtain or acquire necessary information in available and appropriate ways, but indicate source. We will evaluate all of these answers of each student. The average evaluation result will account for 60% of the final score of this course.
