Course goal is to provide operative knowledge on Information Technology. Students will learn how computers work and their structure, basic information about computer networks, and how to use the most common application software like word processors, spreadsheets, database management systems, presentation softwares. A part of the course is devoted to illustrate how Internet works, from searching for information to how people interact within social networks. Computer security notions complete program. |

Lessons are well suited to cover the whole program of the course, this means that textbooks are not necessarily required. For students who prefer written information to study on, the following textbok is suggested by the videolessons' professor:

For the common use programs, any ECDL text is adequate. |
