Course description
The course of Urban Planning and Sustainability introduces the training course as part of land use planning, urban planning and environmental, with the aim of giving the student the set of basic knowledge necessary to form those who will be working with appropriate awareness in research, teaching, the profession and the public administration. Objectives
Main aim of the course of Urban Planning and Sustainability is to deepen the scope of issues related to the activities of urban planning, through the knowledge of the main planning tools and how to approach it with particular reference to the value of regional sustainability. In particular, the course aims to: - Develop a capacity of knowledge and evaluation of the interdependencies between the various anthropogenic factors, environmental, socio - economic and territorial through the formation of knowledge necessary to implement analyzes, interpretations and critical evaluations of the territorial transformations and environmental – Provide basic concepts of planning, illustrate the main planning tools and deepen the environmental aspects of planning in order to provide the fundamental knowledge that may be used in the professional activities by public administrations in control, management and evaluation of the processes of transformation of the city and the territory and prediction / implementation of complex programs and public works, with particular regard to political development of the European territory - Develop a mastery of approaches and methodologies for planning and environmental assessment and planning, as part of configuration participatory local development and sustainable development of EU policies in order to provide the basic knowledge that will come together in consultative activities within the interpretation and implementation of government policies in favor of the territory government public of professional firms, the study-centers and agencies that provide services for analysis, planning and land management of high profile; services company for the design or implementation of geographic information systems, systems, multi-criteria analysis, evaluations of territorial impact.
