Videolesson n.1:

The sound of climate justice

The climate crisis concern us all. But to address the biggest challenge of all we need the most diversity we can. More and more climate activists are wondering and debating how and why inside the movements there's been a lack of representation of minorities and diverse voices, and a prevalence of whitesplaining. The podcast series Mothers of Invention is a successful attempt to display a different perspective on solutions to climate change. But more and more stories are needed from countries and communities which are going to be the most affected by the effects of climate change.

Videolesson n.2:

The impacts of climate change in the Mediterranean region

The Mediterranean basin is a highly exposed region to climate risk because of its exposure, meaning the presence of assets, people, ecosystems that can be affected, and its vulnerability. Prof. Enrica De Cian analyses the presence of the interconnected risks across five domains: water, ecosystems, food safety, security, health and human security.

Videolesson n.3:

The State Of Research Into Climate Journalism Practices And Routines

Climate journalism gathers, evaluates, selects, and presents information about climate change, its characteristics, causes, and impacts, as well as ways to mitigate it. It is an important source of information about climate change for many people. Currently, however, the media ecosystem surrounding climate journalism is changing, with economic conditions becoming more strenuous, more communicators joining the debate, and social media changing the affordances of communication. What are the main conclusions in the current study on climate journalism’s evolution?

Videolesson n.4:

Being a Science Journalist

Science journalism has a huge impact on public opinion. In order to be quick but accurate and responsible in delivering information, a science journalist needs to constantly learn, study, make researches and investigations, improve skills. In this permanent learning process, Mrs. Momčilović underlines the importance of having some basics in history of science and in some specialized topics, in statistics and in data journalism, and of being part of professional networks.
