Course description
The course starts with an introduction to marketing principles. The student will develop a solid working knowledge of the essentials of marketing management, marketing information, research and understanding the target market, the marketing mix, and marketing in special fields (such as international or sustainable marketing). Then the course is focused on planning, tools and the communication mix of tourism marketing.
Prerequisites
Non vi sono propedeuticità formali ma il marketing è una disciplina le cui strumentazioni ed impostazioni strategiche sono meglio recepite dai discenti che hanno già dimestichezza con il Diritto pubblico e la Legislazione del turismo (per quanto concerne gli Organi dell'apparato turistico pubblico ed il loro funzionamento) e con le tecniche economiche che si occupano delle funzioni e della direzione delle imprese agenziali e di quelle ricettive.
Objectives
This course is designed to provide the student with a broad introduction to tourism marketing concepts, how these concepts fit within the overall strategy of a firm or a tourist facility, and how they influence management and decision making. The practice of marketing is diagnostic, strategic and tactical.
