The course aims to illustrate the story and characters of the archaeological collections from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century, through the analysis of acquisitions and events of some Italian collections of sculpture and ancient ceramics. The course will follow an archeological between public museums and private collections. |

The pre-requisites needed to address this training course are a basic knowledge of the history and archeology of the historical, political and cultural from the Renaissance to modern times. |

At the end of the training provided by this course the student will know in detail one of the most fascinating aspects of the history of collecting, that of collecting archaeological, with its beginnings in the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and its formative stage in the great period of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The student will also have the opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the formation of public museums from the Renaissance to the present. |
