Conference on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Disasters

On 4 December 2013, the Conference “Protection and Safeguard of Cultural Property from Risks Connected to Natural and Man-made Disasters. International, European and National Perspective took place in Rome, at Sala delle Bandiere – Information Office of the European Parliament in Italy.

Both international and national experts participated in the event, which was organized by Uninettuno Research Unit the Research Project FIRB Futuro in Ricerca 2012 “International Disaster Law Project”. Vis-à-vis the actuality, originality and legal significance of the event, Uninettuno Research Unit prepared a Conference Report in English – which can be downloaded free of charge on the website of the Italian Society of International Law, at the following link.

Workshop "International Disaster Law"

The Research Unit Uninettuno of the FIRB Research Project Futuro in Ricerca 2012 “International Disaster Law Project” hosted, together with the Research Units of University Roma Tre, University of Bologna Alma Mater and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, a Workshop on “International Disaster Law”.

The Workshop, which took place from 28 April to 2 May 2014 at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of San Remo, Italy, has been organized together with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
