Today in Dead Sea, in Jordan, Jordan it took place the great final ceremony for the start up of the e-learning Master in European Culture, Open Sky Europe, promoted by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO and funded by the European Union as part of the “Euromed Regional Communication” program. The event raised up the dialogue between culture and is addressed to young graduates of Universities of MEDA Countries, in order to open them the doors towards the new world of labour and of the mutual knowledge between the South and North area of the Mediterranean. Europe and European Union, their policy, culture and history reach the new generations of the Euro Mediterranean Area thanks to the lessons of important protagonists of the recent European history and by international famous professors who deliver videolessons in four languages, Italian, French, English and Arabic and broadcasted through the website of the master: www.uninettunosrl.net/openskyeurope. The aim of the project is to train young people from Euro Mediterranean Countries in order to acquire the process of constitution of European Union, its identity and its specify policy, and also its social, economical and cultural relationships between MEDA Countries. In order to reach this goal the project envisages the first Quiz between 150 students of 14 Universities from 8 Countries of Euro Mediterranean Area: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey, involving young people from different countries who compete for one of the position available in each countries for a free enrolment to the Master. The result of the national selections is that 25 young graduating faced in a real multicultural Quiz on the Dead Sea. The three winner have obtained the possibility of visiting Bruxelles, the capital of the European Union, and the main institutional and political housing of Europe. More than three hundred of personalities from the diplomatic, politic and academic environment, took part to the event which has been completely filmed from the Jordan Television which will produce a Tv program in prime time. Meantime, thanks to the agreement and the collaboration between Uninettuno and Copeam, all the principal public Tv of the participant countries, will rebroadcast the event which will also broadcast on the satellite channel of the International Telematic University Uninettuno, RAI Nettuno Sat 1. It’s an evidence of the involvement of an Italian University in the reciprocal acquaintance which will have a capillary diffusion all over the MEDA countries. To the event, beside the Rector of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, Maria Amata Garito, participated on behalf of Italy the MP Sandro Gozi, member of the Italian Parlament, President of the ItaliaBicameral Commission for Shengen and the immigration and already Diplomatic Counselor of the Premier Romano Prodi, the italian ambassador in Jordan Gianfranco Giorgolo, the President of the Delegation of the European Union in Jordan Patrick Renault and the director of the Jordan public Tv Faisal Al Shboul. Everybody underlined the international relevance of the multicultural dialogue, promoted by an Italian Institution. Prof. Maria Amata Garito, Rector of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, has declared: With the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, the Universities of Europe and of the Mediterranean Area create together common network of knowledge, thanks to new technologies the students can enlarge their knowledge base, study and learn different cultures and build together their future. The Master in European Culture is an example which offers to the students the instruments to know deeper the past, to live the present and to look together to the future of Europe and of the Mediterranean Area, has concluded the Rector Garito at the end of the ceremony.
