Objectives
The scientific and educational objective of the course is primarily concerned with the skills of interpolation among different disciplines directed to the enhancement of the different categories of cultural objects. Through the knowledge and understanding of certain critical instruments and research methods, belonging to the historical and architectural scientific field, it is possible to relate the plurality of topics that determines the connections among the many aspects in which resources on the territory are declinable . De facto, the approach to the study of the history of architecture involves issues that are typical of artistic disciplines, understood in traditional way, as well as articulated fields of interest related to the unconventional artistic production, combining landscape and cultural heritage. In this perspective, the educational objectives are placed within the three modules in which the course was divided: archeology and architecture, city and territory, landscape and cultural anthropology. The lectures deal with issues relating to the cultural objects both punctual and complex, involving the architectural scale, urban and territorial planning and landscaping. In this sense, it is clear that the course is not intended to propose a comprehensive overview of the entire diachronic development of the history of architecture, but offer a first thematic summary which can guide research methods applied to enable an interdisciplinary training necessary for the professional operator of cultural heritage.
