The new Communication Sciences Faculty of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, with its University Degree Course in Communication, Media and Advertising, will be characterised by an innovative approach as it regards study path and training model To this end, UNINETTUNO computer-based platforms will be fully exploited by enhancing highly interactive and experimental content-rich activities in instructional design, aiming at an active involvement of the student as co-author of his own learning path. In this perspective we propose to follow an Anglo-Saxon model that envisages lectures and seminars (target to few students who are highly participative and aimed to the preparation of research work reports and in-depth studies carried out by the student under the assistance of a tutor), beside laboratories and practice work designed for several parallel courses in order to bring about synergies and creative activities among the various courses. . Option to move from the old regulations (Min. Decree 509/99) to the new regulations (Min. Decree 270/04): the students enrolled in the three-year University Degree Courses, as per Min. Decree 509/99, can opt for the newly implemented Degree Course in Communication, Media and Advertising, established by the Min. Decree 270/04. Their academic career will be assessed by a special Commission that shall state which ECTS credits will be acknowledged and which supplementary credits will have to be obtained for the completion of the entire training path. It is possible to opt for this passage only at the first year, since the second and third years of the University Degree Courses, based on the new regulations, established by the Min. Decree 270/04, will be implemented in the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 academic years respectively. The Dean of the Faculty of Communications Science is Professor Alberto Abruzzese, Full Professor of IULM - Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione a Milano e Feltre
