Curriculm vitae et studiorum of Luciano De Menna
Born in Naples in 1941, Luciano De Menna received his degree cum laude in Electronic Engineering in 1965 at the Federico II University of Naples (UoN).
From 1965 to 1967 he worked at the International Busines Machine as System Engineering.
From 1970 to 1975 he was professor in charge of Physics at Engineering Faculty in Naples (UoN).
From 1975 to 1977 he was Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Tecnhology, were he worked in the group of prof. Bruno Coppi.
From 1977 to 1980 he was professor in charge of Electrical Engineering at Engineering Faculty in Naples (UoN).
Since 1980 he is full professor of Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the same University of Naples; from 1985 to 1989 he was Director of the Department
From 1985 to 1992 he has been President of the National Group of Magnetofluidodinamic ed Ionised Gas of the Italian National Council of Researches (CNR).
Since 1992 he is member of the Administration Board of the Consortium Net.T.Un.O.
Since 1993 he is President of the National Group of Electrical Engineering of the Italian National Council of Researches (CNR).
From 1995 to 1997 he has been Director of the C.D.S., the Department of the Naples University in charge of the University Computer Network.
From 1998 to 2000 he has been member of the Academic Board of the University of Naples ed President of the Teaching Commission of the Board.
His research interests are in Controlled Thermonuclear Fusion, Electromagnetic Fields, Particles Accelerators, Linear and Non linear Circuits.
Since the years of his participation to the establishment of the Consortium Net.T.Un.O, he developed a strong interest in research in the field of distance learning and of the production of multimedia software for teaching purpose.
